FAQ
The material
Will it really never tarnish?
Our solid steel pieces, no. 316L stainless steel contains chromium, which forms a protective oxide layer that repairs itself on contact with oxygen. There is nothing to oxidize and no plating to wear through. We back that with a lifetime tarnish-free guarantee — if one ever does, we replace it.
Can I wear it in the ocean, the pool, the shower?
Yes. All of it. That is the entire point of the brand. 316L does not rust or corrode, and the gold PVD finish is unaffected by water. Rinse after salt water or chlorine — not because it will damage anything, but because dried salt and pool chemicals leave a dull film.
Is the gold real gold?
It is an 18k gold PVD finish over 316L steel — not solid gold, and we would rather say so plainly. PVD bonds gold to steel at the molecular level in a vacuum chamber. It is dramatically harder than the electroplating used on most gold-tone jewelry: it will not flake, bubble, or turn your wrist green.
It is still a surface finish, so years of hard daily wear can eventually show at high-contact points. Our silver pieces are solid steel throughout, so their color genuinely cannot wear off.
I react to most jewelry. Will this bother me?
316L is the grade people with metal sensitivities are usually told to look for — it is what surgical instruments and implants are made from. Nickel is bound within the alloy structure rather than sitting on the surface, so very little transfers to skin. If plated or costume jewelry has caused you problems before, this is the category that tends to work.
Fit and sizing
Are they adjustable?
Yes. Both sizes are open cuffs you can open wider or squeeze tighter with a bit of hand pressure. It takes real muscle rather than a delicate touch, which is deliberate — a bangle that reshaped itself easily would not stay where you put it. Work in small increments and check the fit as you go.
How do I know it will fit?
Because they adjust, you are fitting to a wrist rather than matching an exact measurement. A bangle has to clear the widest part of the hand, not the wrist — press your thumb toward your palm and measure across the widest point. Compare that to the inner width on our Sizing & Safety page.
What if it doesn't fit?
Try adjusting it first — most fit issues solve with a gentle squeeze or pull. If it is still not right, send it back. Returns are free for 30 days and we cover the shipping label.
For your little one
What age is the Mini for?
As a general guide, around 18 months to 3 years. Every child is built differently, though — it may fit one at eighteen months and another closer to four. The bangle adjusts, so you can size it in now and open it out as she grows.
If it is too big when it arrives, squeeze it in a little, or set it aside and give it to her when it fits. A piece meant to last is worth waiting for. Just please do not have her wear it loose in the meantime — a bangle that slides over the hand is the fit that can catch on things. Full guidance is on our Sizing & Safety page.
Is it safe for a child to wear?
The material is — it is the same hypoallergenic steel as the adult pieces, with no coating to chip or ingest. Fit is what matters most. A bangle loose enough to slide over the hand can catch on furniture, car seats, or playground equipment, which is why the Mini has a deliberately narrow 10 mm opening. Check the fit every few weeks as they grow, and remove it during unsupervised sleep.
Does she really never have to take it off?
Through water and daily life, no. We do recommend removing it for unsupervised sleep and for climbing or playground equipment where jewelry could snag.
Orders
How fast do you ship?
Orders placed before 12:00 PM CT on a business day ship the same day from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Everything else goes out the next business day. Orders over $75 ship free. Full details on our Shipping page.
Do I have to buy the pair?
No — every piece is sold individually. But adding the matching Mini to a Mother bangle takes 35% off the Mini, and the pair clears our free shipping threshold.
Can I buy two Mothers, or two Minis?
Of course. Plenty of our pairs are a grandmother and a granddaughter, two sisters, or a mother and a grown daughter. Nothing about the pieces requires a particular pairing.
