About the gold finish

PVD bonds gold to steel at the molecular level and is dramatically harder than the plating used on most gold-tone jewelry. It is still a surface finish rather than solid gold, so years of hard daily wear can eventually show at high-contact points. Our silver pieces are solid steel throughout if you want color that genuinely cannot wear.
